With more than 55 miles of dramatic Pacific coastline, 400 award-winning wineries, and the charming areas of Jenner, Bodega Bay, Fort Ross, Gualala, Sea Ranch, and Timber Cove, the Sonoma Coast is a destination unlike any other. The area makes for one of the most stunning drives anywhere, with many scenic overlooks beckoning travelers to pull over for a rewarding view.

Located on Highway 1 along the Sonoma Coast, Timber Cove is about fifteen miles north of downtown Jenner and one hour from the Sonoma Airport. Often photographed by famed photographer Ansel Adams, the setting is considered to be one of California’s most beautiful coastlines. 

Timber Cove is within 2-1/2 hours of the San Francisco Bay area, with air access via Sonoma Airport or easy drive from Santa Rosa. On your journey to the resort, you will experience some of the best wine tasting in Sonoma County, including the Russian River and Green Valley wine regions. Scenic coastal drives from the north or south include the charming towns of Bodega Bay, Santa Rosa or Healdsburg which are all great day trips, with outdoor activities like river rafting, hiking, and kayaking also available.

• Start out going East on Airport BLVD toward Flightline DR
• Turn right onto N Laughlin RD
• Turn right onto River RD
• River Rd will become CA-116
• Continue to follow CA-116
• Turn slight right onto CA-1 to the town of Jenner
• Continue northbound on the North Coast Highway out of Jenner
• End at 21780 Highway 1 Timber Cove
• We are located 14 miles, or approximately 20 minutes, north of Jenner at Mile Marker 35

• Start out going Southwest on Airport DR toward Alan Shepard Way
• Turn right onto Alan Shepard Way
• Turn right onto John Glenn DR
• Turn right onto Ron Cowan PKWY 
• Turn slight right onto Airport DR
• Airport DR becomes Airport Access RD
• Turn right onto Hegenberger RD  
• Merge onto I-880 N toward Downtown Oakland
• Keep right to take I-980 E toward CA-24/ Walnut Creek
• Merge onto I-580 W toward San Francisco (Portions toll)
• Merge onto US-101 N.
• Take the E Washington ST exit toward Central Petaluma
• Turn left onto E Washington ST towards Bodega Bay
• E Washington ST becomes Bodega Ave
• Bodega Ave becomes Valley Ford RD
• Turn slight left onto CA-1/ Valley Ford Cutoff. Continue to follow CA-1
• Continue into the town of Bodega Bay
• Drive through Bodega Bay to the town of Jenner
• Continue northbound on the North Coast Highway out of Jenner
• End at 21780 North Coast Highway 1 Timber Cove

• Go straight toward hourly parking
• Merge onto US-101 N toward San Francisco
• Merge onto I-380 W toward I-280/ San Bruno
• Merge onto I-280 N toward San Francisco
• Keep left to take CA-1 N via EXIT 49B toward 19TH AVE/ Golden Gate Bridge
• Turn slight left onto 19TH AVE/ CA-1 N. Continue to follow CA-1 N
• Merge onto US-101 N via the exit on the LEFT toward Golden Gate Bridge
• Take the E WashingtonST exit toward Central Petaluma
• Turn left onto E Washington ST
• E Washinton ST becomes Bodega Ave
• Bodega Ave becomes Valley Ford Rd
• Turn slight left onto CA-1/ Valley Ford Cutoff. Continue to follow CA-1
• End at 21780 Highway 1 Timber Cove
